I've been wanting to try this wine bar for quite some time, but couldn't find anyone that really wanted to try it with me. Until now! The bar is super tiny and it's standing room only but it supposedly has an amazing wine selection. Well, I'm always one to try something a little bit different so I was all in!
Yes this place was small. But I arrived around 5pm and it wasn't crowded at all, we stood right at the bar. The somm/bartender explained the concept to us, order wine by the glass and the menu for snacks was on cards hanging from the ceiling. CUTE! I ordered the 'vin du jour' which was a Chenin Blanc from Anjou. Super refreshing without being high acid, nice creamy notes with peach and apricot and only 5.50 euro a glass. There is communal bread, butter and cornichons for the taking...and take I did! I'm so in love with French butter!! I did order pork belly, jambon croquettes and rocamadour (cheese). The cheese with the bread and the butter AND the wine?? YES!!! Such a great start to the night!
This is a super cute place to go to start your night or to wind down after dinner elsewhere. With it being standing room only, I doubt you'd want to be there all night long standing or getting bumped around. I can only imagine it gets crowded later on in the evening. You may even be okay going by yourself and meeting some new people! Either way, this is a place you definitely want to try out when you come to Paris.
