American Whiskey in Paris
Sometimes I feel like I am drowning in my inbox. So many newsletters and nonsense emails, when did I sign up for all of this?? But then I see an email about a Bartender Competition with American Whiskies. OPEN!
5 free tix if you are quick on the draw to register. You know my click game is strong and I got tix ;-) I only hesitate after because I know that everything is going to be in French and I will also be there alone, looking sad with my cocktail in the corner lol. Laughing but yeah, kinda serious. Seeing as though I don't let that stop me, I forge ahead.
Great space, dope set up and free drinks!! I'll clearly be fine. Oh, and the food! The French believe in presentation no matter what. A few small tapas style things in cups, little pizzas in boxes, that type of thing. I have a few, grab a Lynchburg Lemonade and go stand in the corner, cuz you know how I do. A few minutes later I see people walking around either something out of white cartons. What is it, it looks like...are those HOT DOGS?!! They have hot dogs! My corner just happens to be by the kitchen so I stand there in wait
A waiter appears out of the kitchen and I literally run to him! I grab a hot dog, barely, and get back to my corner. I'm chatting it up with some people now (in English, of course) and eating my hot dog. I proceed to grab one every time I see the waiter, which came to about 3 hot dogs lol. OH, and he had sliders too...had about 4 of those. One time he even walked right by me, clearly I wasn't about to pass up food that was literally right at my fingertips.
I wish I could tell you the specifics of the competition and exactly who won. I just know it was a girl and everyone was happy. I was too as I drank a Mint Julep, Lynchburg Lemonade, Manhattan and 2 Old Fashioneds ;-)
Fun times in Paris!
