Girls weekend in Rome - the recap
When one is celebrating a big birthday, one usually wants to do something big. I am no exception 😊
I had one group of friends that went to the Dominican Republic and another with their sights set on Europe. Clearly I was 'going' with the group to Europe.
We started off with a night tour of the Roman Forum. Pretty amazing the history there and that many structures are still standing! The light show against some of the walls and buildings was absolutely breathtaking as well. Then of course, drinks!
I went on the walking tour with Nick & Job from Rome's Ultimate. Totally got schooled on Roman history. They were absolutely fantastic guides! Engaging, entertaining, funny and they really knew their stuff. I highly recommend this walking tour. Oh, and did I mention it was free?? Yep! Just be sure to tip well at the end.
I stood in front of a bunch of places and took a lot of pics! Rome is a big, old, historic and beautiful city! I had such a fun time with my girls!! If the opportunity presents itself again, I won't hesitate to go back. I need to drink more wine and hit a few more enotecas (wine bars) around the city. OH, and I hear the men are.... ;-)
A few more pics of our weekend shenanigans!!
