Life changing lunch!

Life changing lunch!

Listen, I have mentioned that I have loved a meal before or it was' super delicious' or whatever...but this meal? THIS MEAL HERE?? A game changer! It wasn't just the food either. The company and the wine completely put me on a new path. My mind is still racing. I clearly need to step my game up, step my dreams up, step my goals up and get to writing this stuff down! I also do have to stop for just a quick second and acknowledge that I have accomplished a lot and am kinda brave for even being here in this space anyway. So, kudos to me! LOL! Now on to this meal.

I'd been wanting to go to this restaurant for awhile, but trying to get people to plan and set schedules and have the money...it just didn't come together. But yesterday, it came together so seamlessly and flawlessly that I just knew it was supposed to be. There isn't really a set menu or an a la carte option but instead you say 2, 3 or 4 courses and the chef brings out the dishes of the day. I went with the 4 courses: entree, plat, cheese, dessert. And of course a bottle of wine was ordered cuz, Girl Meets Glass ;-)

First up was a tomato gazpacho soup. Presentation impeccable. So much so that I wolfed it down with no pics. The bowls arrived to the table with croutons, little veggies and cream, then a larger bowl with the soup. We were to ladle the soup into our bowls.

I had already eaten, and spilled some before I remembered to take another pic

The plat or main course was a pork loin. A beautiful, beautiful pork loin with veggies au jus with a side of creamy polenta. Life!

I was much neater with the plating of the pork

Blue cheese and fig with a carmelized drizzle. This surprised me. I was expecting just a regular cheese plate but this explosion of flavors in my mouth?? Sweet and salty, it worked.

Then the dessert, mango panna cotta. Game over! I'm stuffed but I mean, I still ate all of it. Glad I wore stretchy clothes.
