Dark and Stormy

How appropriate considering what’s supposedly coming our way this evening. If you haven’t gotten your supplies yet, there might be a few things left…if stores are even open. If you do decide to head out, go early and be safe!Dark and Stormy Recipe

The dark and stormy comes out of Bermuda and combines only three ingredients. Dark rum, Ginger beer and a splash of lime. Dark rum is a must for this and if you wanted to really follow the rules, you should use Gosling’s black rum. Ginger beer is a much spicier take on ginger ale – you can find it at most grocery stores.
  • 4 tablespoons (2 oz) dark rum
  • 6 tablespoons (3 oz) ginger beer
  • 1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) lime juice
  • ice
  • lime slice for garnish
  1. Add ice to glass. Then, pour rum, lime juice and ginger beer over ice. Serve with lime slice.
Ginger beer and ginger ale are very different. Ginger beer is has a stronger ginger flavor.
While ginger beer has no alcohol content, it can usually be found in liquor stores and shops that sell alcohol.
