Eat-Drink-Go Local in North Beach, MD
What a time was had!! First of all, I really Maryland Wine! It gets a bad rap. Yes, there are some out there that aren’t my particular tastes…but there are tons of wines that don’t fit my particular tastes. The Eat Drink Go Local event aims to promote MD wines and also regional farmers. And the best part, there were food pairings!!! The lemon-blueberry cupcake and Blueberry Pinot Noir were my fav!!
I went to this event last year when it came to Silver Spring and I loved it. I’m so glad I was able to attend this time. And in North Beach! I didn’t even know this place, beach, boardwalk even existed!! It’s beautiful and the weather totally agreed with us!
New winery, Aliceanna Winery in Baltimore was my surprise of the day. Surprise because it was new, to me anyway, and because of there 3 wines…loved all three! The Riesling was phenomenal! Light with crisp acidity and hints of peaches, I tweeted about this multiple times. And winery owner Erik Bandzak was kind enough to pose for the pic I have above and hold his amazing wines. I look forward to tasting them again…a private tasting of a wine dinner perhaps??
