On today September 20th, we celebrate National Rum Punch Day. And since it is a Friday, I suggest we take this celebration right into the weekend!! Here is a recipe for a rum punch using ingredients that you probably already have in your fridge. If not, there is plenty of time to hit the grocery store or even the corner store for these. I used a spiced rum for this recipe since fall is right around the corner and I wanted to add a little extra bit of oomph to the punch. Enjoy!!
Cranberry Rum Punch
- 1 bottle (32 oz) cranberry juice
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 cups ginger ale
- 2 1/4 cups Bacardi Oakheart
- 8 slices lemon
In a punchbowl, stir cranberry juice and sugar together until the sugar dissolves. Mix in the rum and lemon slices. Pour in the ginger ale. Stir lightly. Serve in collins glass over ice.
